Story of the Pink Hydrangeas
One Easter, Cindy purchased a collection of beautiful pink hydrangeas to decorate the house for a Silver, Wood & Ivory home concert. When the concerts were over, the plants needed a place to spend the summer, so they were lined up along the garden wall beneath the crepe myrtle, where they received just the right mixture of sun and shade.
Apparently, they approved.
Within weeks, the plants mushroomed into an extraordinary display, filling the entire space with what could only be described as hydrangea heaven.
On one warm summer day, everything came together—the graceful branches of the crepe myrtle reaching overhead, the potted yucca perched on the wall, and a glorious row of pink hydrangeas overflowing below.
What began as simple Easter decorations had unexpectedly become another Wittenberg Gardens work of art—and the perfect moment for a photograph
