Story of the Marvelous Combo

This overflowing container became a celebration of color and texture. Tall ornamental grass rises dramatically from the center, surrounded by brilliant pink geraniums, soft blue and lavender flowers, and trailing ivy spilling over the weathered stone bowl.

Set among hostas, orange daylilies, and the deep greens of the woodland garden, the arrangement seems perfectly at home. As summer progresses, it grows fuller and more beautiful—a marvelous combination of height, color, texture, and a little garden wildness.
